A group of anime pirates based in Canada (if I recall correctly) have been stealing our fansubs of Ojamajo Doremi Season 1, editing them down to match the 4kids version in terms of video, then slapping the 4kids dub track on it. They then take the finished product and put them on DVD for dumb people to buy. I've seen such an episode (Episode 29, "The Tap Disappeared at the Festival!" [Doremi-Fansubs] / "It Takes a Thief" [4kids]) on Veoh pirated in such a manner. Honestly I'm completely against giving anyone outside the group our translations. Why would they need them other than for stealing our work? |
