  • Radar : Thanks for Sketchbook 11!
  • PsychicKid : Dokkan before Londom Olympics or bust
  • JimShew : We will not have "the whole series" complete by then though... Sharp 40 represents the half-way point of the entire 216 episode series.
  • PsychicKid : That's what we're aiming for, Sharp 49 by Christmas/New Years. No promises, though.
  • JimShew : Sailor_tita, if college classes allow (several staff are taking classes there), you might get your wish - we are trying to get the Sharp season complete by the end of the year.

What is the fate of this 「Reverie」 of a little planet?

The good folks over at http://planetarian.insani.org/index.html and http://www.haeleth.net/index.shtml have brought over a visual novel that is so stunning and captivating that you have to read it to believe it. In this supremely awesome read you will play a war-torn Junker who encounters a broken robot by the name of Reverie. Inside the sanctuary of a planetarium, you, the Junker, will undergo a deep and moving confession about the state of the post-apocalyptic world that you live in. Coupled with the unnerving, yet somewhat predictable, but also one hundred percent moving climax, these four hours you spend reading will be the best four hours you will spend. Granted, this game/novel/book is not for everyone, especially folks who can't even finish reading Wayside School back in fifth grade. Shame on those people, they're missing out on an experience of a lifetime. We, the folks at Doremi, wish that you spend ten dollars inside your wallet and buy this masterpiece. You won't be disappointed.

This is a show that we decided to do on a whim, since Mamiko Noto voices the main character. Asougi Rin, runs a consulting office that deals with all sorts of cases, from cats to men who lost their memories. Featuring violence, lesbian tendencies, S&M, and torture, there's something in here for everyone. Expect monthly releases due to its six-episode length. See if you can catch other famous voice actors too, like Rie Tanaka. There will be no karaoke for both the ending and the opening, since it's a no-frills release. Feel free to edit the softsub script to your liking. Enjoy.

    Stuff of legends
If you were a child growing up outside of the USA during the late 70s to the late 80s, then you will remember this gem. I grew up believing that my desk drawer is actually a time machine in which a blue robotic cat would spring out and rescue me from my mundane life. I always marveled at how future-thinking Fujiko F. Fujio was, thinking up of remote controlled airplanes and supercomputers and whatnot. But what about the inventions? Anyone would remember the Anywhere Door. How about the Lost-Item Purse? The Big Light? The Air Cannon? The Take Copter? The Tablecloth that grants what you order? The list goes on and on. A masterpiece of Japanese animation.
It's been my dream to translate at least a part of Doraemon, and my chance came with the 2003 and 2006 movies. The 2003 movie is a typical adventure story, but with the Doraemon characters kicking ass. The 2006 movie will bring a tear to anyone who's read Nobita's Dinosaur. I hope you all enjoy our efforts. To the uninitiated, there's a nice article on Wikipedia to get you started. But the magic lies in the nostalgia, and there is no way to replicate that.

Let's see, this has Jyunichi Sato as one of the directors, HAL film maker as the animator, and some ARIA spoofs. I'm sold. But Maceart will be translating and timing this project, so direct all questions to him. This show is about some art club in some high school. It is very character driven, much more so than Lucky Star and Azumanga Daioh. In fact, it's so character driven that you'll be nodding and saying "Yes, yes" like the main characters does. Every 10 seconds. It does calm your soul though, so watch it.

Sometimes Maceart and I will get into a sudden inspiration to do something random. Here they are, in order of release date.

    Best Magical Girl Show. Ever.
Who cares if it's girly? Who cares if you'll get laughed at for watching this? It's freaking awesome damnit! This is the show that defines Doremi, not that other show about "Meister" Maids. It is our goal to bring the 214 total episodes of goodness subbed into the English language. I know that we probably won't be done before 2012, but there will always be time, no? Oh yeah, that version of season 1 on 4kids doesn't count. Compare the two and you'll see why. The first four episodes have been done by other groups, so I list them here too. NDK (NaDejiKo), which is our guise for working on the first season, does not like to waste work. For potential viewers, I suggest starting with the first season, but the Na-i-sho OAV season is pretty standalone too.
