What's this? This show is packed full of hilarity. Those Japanese sure think up some very queer yet awesome plots. There's this girl named Miki Onimaru that's so full of energy that she takes care of this criminal using just one leg. Anyway, she's a poster girl for a chinese restaurant, and plenty of things happen to her. No, this is not a magical girl show. No, this does not feature cute mascots (or maybe it will, I don't know). For those people who liked Nina in Mai-Otome, prepare to see her in a totally different light, as a stuck up bakery shop poster girl with a tendency to battle it out with Miki. Using darts. Sonic X( 1 items ) Hmm? I've heard of this... This is a fun/experimental project. It features a very famous hedgehog, his buddies, an Eggman, and Chris. I hope you enjoy. Knuckles is bad-ass.
True Tears( 4 items )
Shinichiro is a student living in what would be a dream come true for most high school boys, but for him is mostly a frustration. A well liked girl in school named Hiromi has lived in his house for a year along with his family. Her father was a close friend of the family, and when he died they immediately took her in. She is popular and well liked, always smiles, is talented in sports- but Shinichiro knows there must be tears inside her. Having an artistic tendency, he makes watercolours of her and thinks about wishing to ease her tears. Yet he cannot bring up the nerve to talk to her even in his own home. She, too, is quiet and withdrawn in their house, quite unlike at school. Shinichiro is also distracted by teasing from his friend Nobuse for watching Hiromi from afar, a curse of bad luck from a strange girl named Noe, and being forced to perform Muhiga dancing. By helping Noe he hopes to ease his own problems, yet he seems to have difficulty helping himself.
Simoun( 5 items ) So, yeah... I have no idea what this is about. bd_ wanted to translate, and I didn't mind. It has lesbians in it, so it's all good. I am very, very confused about the plot thought. There is something about this war, something about ambiguity of gender, and a whole lot of kissing. Girl to girl, of course. Anyways, bd_ is the project head for this, so if you have any questions, direct them at bd_.
REC( 1 items ) Huh? More projects? This one is good, I promise. Only 9 episodes of 14 minutes each. It's about this aspiring voice actress and how her house burned down and how she bums with this salaryman over at an advertising company who created this commercial that she was chosen to be the lead of. The plot goes super fast, with a bit of human biological loving in the first episode. They main guy character is not too dweeby and not too annoying, but he does get pretty cynical sometimes.
Ouran H.S. Host Club( 3 items ) Whee, another show! After a show about Meister maids, I think I need to appeal to the other half of the anime watching community, the female gender. A few words of disclaimer first. No, this is not gay. Again, this features no homosexuality. If anything, this show has male pimps pimping on rich girls. There are plenty of lesbian tendencies, plenty of humor, plenty of pretty boys to oogle at, and most importanly, this show has heart. It doesn't try to wow the audience with ultra sleek robots, nor does it try to astound us with over-the-top ecchi or supernatural elements. This is a down-to-earth story about Fujioka Haruhi and life in the Ouran High School Host Club. Enjoy!
Power Puff Girls Z( 5 items ) Hmm... We've all seen the American cartoon, featuring potato-shaped prepubescent heroines battling it out with crazy monkeys, creepy hillbillies, and the indescribable Him. Well, take the popular cartoon, add legs, big eyes, and Japanese voice actors, and there you have it: Powerpuff Girls Z. There are quite a few other differences, but you'll have to watch the show to see. Dropped due to license. Whoo hoo! A Japanese anime based off of an American cartoon that stereotypes Japanese animation. I guess the world does go around.
